Since 1955, Castle Park Middle School (CPMS) has been an integral part of the Chula Vista community. It draws its population of Grade 7 and Grade 8 students from eleven different elementary schools. Upon completion of Grade 8, students promote to Castle Park High School. Recently, CPMS has been recognized for its outstanding gains in state standardized testing (CST) and has jumped to the forefront of cutting-edge schools and enrollment. In addition, the nationally recognized program, Granger Turnaround Model, is now in full swing on campus setting high expectations and empowering students to believe in themselves, work hard, dream big and never give up.

CPMS Academic Advocates 

Chelsea Abraham graduated in 2011 from University of California, San Diego (UCSD) earning a Bachelors of Arts Degree in International Studies. She was born and raised in Irvine, California and graduated from Irvine High School in 2007. After graduating from college, Abraham started her career working with South Bay Community Services.

Ernesto Garcia graduated from San Diego State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with an emphasis in Mathematical Finance. During college, Garcia was President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. Garcia has been working at South Bay Community Services since 2008 and now is an Academic Advocate for CVPromise.
